Professional background:
Aaron "Loki" Johnson joined Colorado Public Radio in 2014. A co-founder of the University of Colorado Boulder’s station, Radio 1190, he worked with the student-run station for more than a decade. Known on stage as "Ukulele Loki," Aaron  leads a circus-style indie rock band called the Gadabout Orchestra, emcees for burlesque and circus shows and produces the Denver County Fair "Freakshow." He has worked as a seventh-grade teacher in Denver Public Schools, a host and emcee for the Downtown Denver Partnership and a music instructor at Swallow Hill Music.

Awards:  
Aaron was named one of 100 Colorado Creatives, as well as Best Sideshow Performer, by "Westword." In 2004, he received the Circus historical Society's Candlelight Award for his work as a preserver of the American circus.
